Come support your teachers at McDonald's this Thursday!

Bradie Shrum is doing a new program this year called Lion Leaders. This will take the place of Star Student. We are focusing on monthly character traits. The month of August was centered around Courage. Students who displayed courage were given a Lion Leader shout out. The month of September will be focused around Responsibility. Students chosen from the staff or other peers will get a vehicle magnet for their parent/guardian to display proudly. They will also get to participate in a fun activity with the school counselors. We are proud of these students for their efforts!

Mrs. Weaver's kindergarten class read the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom last week. Students made Chicka Chicka Boom Boom hats, touched a coconut, played a trace number game with dice, painted a coconut tree and got to see the letters in their name appear as they painted. They also performed a science experiment to see if the coconut would sink or float. Lots of learning fun with Mrs. Weaver!

Congratulations to students and staff! Keep up the great work! #LionPride

Students in K6 are getting ready for Science Lab day on Fun-tastic Friday! They have been learning about
solids, liquids and gases; pushes and pulls; how sunlight warms the earth.
