Bradie Shrum students got creative this week with dots in honor of International Dot Week.
Library Jamie Malloy explained that next Friday, Sept. 15, is actually International Dot Day. But since she does not see all students on that one day, she decided to celebrate it all week!
Library students read the book The Dot, by Peter Reynolds, then watch a chalk creation video, and headed outside to do a Make Our Mark! chalk creation.
"I hope to fill the sidewalks with our dot creations!" said Malloy. She gave a special shout out to Mrs. Ashley Williams for creating Vashti, the theme of "Celebrate Creativity, Courage, and Collaboration" and several dots to kick off the celebration.
Students are encouraged to bring their families to the school in the evenings this week to show them their creation on the school's sidewalk.
