Library students are discussing point of view. They are reading The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, The Three Little Pigs and The Somewhat Bad Wolf. They are discussing the point of view of each story. Then, students are recreating the pigs’ house to see if it will withstand the Big Bad Wolf (aka Mrs. Malloy). They have an opportunity to come back next week and make adjustments to their house. The assignment includes learning to write, revise and edit.

The first Percussion Club meeting was held yesterday after school. Music teacher Mr. Lange said 21 second graders attended. "It was a blast," he said. "By the end of the session, we were rocking 'We Will Rock You' in unison. It was great!" Lange wanted to thank Gary Strange and Ace Hardware-Salem for donating 25 5-gallon buckets for the club. Students in grades K-5 are working on TEAMWORK this week. Each team was tasked with getting their entire team across the river using minimal “tools.” If a team member touched the river, they had to regroup and try again. Throughout the river crossing, they were tasked with carrying a “paddle” and avoiding “mines” along the way. Assistant Superintendent Mrs. Mires even stopped by to join in on the fun!
