Late last night we received an email containing a bomb threat. EW and WW did not receive this threat.
Upon receipt our local and state police were notified. Our buildings and grounds have been searched.
We also believe this threat is not credible however out of an abundance of caution Salem Community Schools will not be in session today, April 14, 2023.
We will have an elearning day on May 5, 2023. We will not be sending the Prosser bus this morning.

Due to the timing of incoming severe weather, the Blue River Afterschool Programs at Both Bradie Shrum Elementary and Salem Middle School will be closed today, March 3. If you were planning for your child to stay for programming, please contact the school or the Program Coordinator to notify them of alternate transportation arrangements. Plan Ahead to help support our BSE Robotics team members who are heading to the Lego World Robotics Competition in Houston, Texas! Present this flyer at Rapid Fire in Salem next week to help these students raise money for this incredible opportunity!


A team of 6 students from the BSE Robotics Club have been chosen to be the sole representatives for the state of Indiana, at the Lego Worlds Robotics Competition in Houston, Texas. They will be representatives for the Lego League Explore category. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to represent not only the state of Indiana, but Bradie Shrum Elementary.
Team members that have been chosen are Preston Bailey, Wyatt Read, Lincoln Corp, Chloe Kearschner, Paxton Gibson, and Turner Pitcock. Coach Sponsors are Ms. Emily Johnson, Mrs. Crystal Mikels, and Mrs. Jessica Morgan.
Congratulations and Good Luck to these students and their coaches!

We would like to extend our appreciation to our Salem Community Schools' families and our wonderful community for your generosity last evening at the BSE Holiday Drive-thru. We collected over 460 nonperishable food items that will be donated to the Washington County Food Bank. We enjoyed seeing all the children's holiday smiles.
