After spending the last two weeks reading about how nature affects our lives, Mr. Jamie Richardson from First Harrison Bank, stopped by Mr. Z’s class today to talk about national parks, state parks, national monuments and memorials that he has traveled to. The students really enjoyed getting to see all of the beautiful places in our country!

Online signups are live for Fall Softball League! The deadline is Aug. 16. Paper sign ups will be sent home from BSE next week and available at SMS. The online signup will hold a spot and payment can be turned in at BSE or SMS. SHS high school softball girls and coaches will run skill work sessions with participants before fall ball home games scheduled at the high school softball field. Ending the last couple of days with a couple of our favorites. Yesterday included Beef and Noodles. The nutrition staff slow cooked several local farm fresh seasoned chuck roasts to make this dish. We did forget to include the dinner roll in the picture. Today's choices included pulled pork nachos made from local farm fresh pork loins, seasoned and slow cooked. Then they add white queso cheese and BBQ sauce. Hope everyone has a great summer! We've enjoyed serving our students this year!
BSE will host a third grade music program tomorrow night (Thursday, May 16). The program is open to the public! Come watch an evening of great music in the BSE gym!

The Indiana Jr. Duck Stamp winners were recently announced. Two students from BSE earned state First Place Awards for their artwork: third grader Madeleine Trauth and fifth grader Chloe Kearschner.
